Police recovered a knife, electrical tape and three cell phones from the home of a Wood River man accused of threatening to harm a woman for her prescription pills. According to recently-released documents, the alleged attack occurred December 26. The victim claims the attacker attempted to choke her with rope and held a knife to her throat as he demanded hydrocodone pills. Neither the victim nor the attacker were identified in the released documents, and charges are still pending in the case.
The victim alleges she was awoken on Boxing Day to find a man tying her hands behind her back and trying to put tape over her mouth. She claims to have offered the alleged attacker two hyrdocodones, but he demanded all of her prescription. After the suspect fled with the pills, the victim was able to get help at a neighbor's house. She was photographed by police while she was still bound with rope. She reportedly identified the suspect, and police took the items from the suspect's home after the issuance of a search warrant.
