Saint Anthony's Breaks Ground in Godfrey

Story by WBGZ Radio

Officials with OSF Saint Anthony's Health Center have broken ground on a new facility to be built in Godfrey. The land on the northwest corner of the Godfrey Road / Airport Road intersection will be turned into $5-million facility that will offer primary and prompt care services, 24 exam rooms, and 9 OSF Healthcare providers.

Ajay Pathak, president of OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony’s Health Center believes easier access to health care could cause an economic ripple effect throughout the Riverbend community.

He says these facilities will be more than just urgent care, and are planning to have two or three sites embedded in different neighborhoods and communities in the Riverbend that will have a primary care base to it.  The Godfrey facility is expected to be completed by December if all goes according to plan
