Injured Man Recovering

Story by WBGZ Radio

The man who was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital Friday morning after possibly being hit by a train in Brighton is doing remarkably well, according to his mother.  Melinda Richards says her son, 25-year-old Cody L. Moore, suffered a small brain bleed, a lacerated spleen, a broken neck, knee and arm, and and a shattered elbow.

Still, she says her son is doing well, all things considered.

Richards comments

She says her son doesn't remember much about the incident.

Richards comments

Apparently the railroad companies can't either.  A spokesman for Amtrak says they are convinced they did not hit Moore, and a Union Pacific Railroad spokesman says the accident remains under investigation.
