Checking local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570...a multi-vehicle accident on Godfrey Road Tuesday around lunchtime injured four people, but none of the injuries were believed to be serious. Authorities responded to Godfrey Road at Pearl Street where one vehicle traveling on Godfrey Road reportedly struck two others that had just turned from Pearl Street. The names of those involved have not been released.
Alton Police filed charges in an accident from Monday evening, claiming the responsible driving was driving under the influence when it occurred. 27 year old David Boyd of the 2800 block of Residence was cited for DUI after his car ended up in the front yard of a home in the 2700 block of Residence. Alton Police report Boyd apparently lost control while on Laclede and tried to make a turn, leading to the car overturning and ending up in the yard. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No one else was injured.
Elsewhere, there was no one new reported held during the other local police checks earlier this morning.
