Three Diagnosed With New Swine Flu

Story by WBGZ Radio

Three Illinoisans have now been diagnosed with H3N2v influenza, which is the newest strain of swine flu.  Officials say a five-year-old Logan County girl contracted the illness after coming into contact with pigs at the Logan County Fair and the Illinois State Fair.

They say people should wash their hands before and after coming into contact with pigs and never take opened food around the animals.  So far, more than 200-people across the nation have been diagnosed with H3N2v.  The Center for Disease Control is investigating and say H3N2v is not contagious and cannot be spread from human to human.
