Checking local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570, East Alton Police were holding 25 year old Josie Sitzes of the 300 block of Kent in East Alton, held on two outstanding warrants. 24 year old Timothy Gaunt of the 300 block of Kent in East Alton, held on two outstanding warrants. 50 year old Patricia Patterson of the 500 block of Dry in East Alton, held for felony theft, and two outstanding warrants. 53 year old Joseph Austin of the 100 block of North Shamrock in East Alton, held for intoxicated pedestrian. 50 year old Roger Wooff of the 400 block of Bowman in East Alton, held for domestic battery.
There was no one else new reported held during the other local jail checks from earlier this morning.
The Alton Fire Department reports responding to a small fire inside a home in the 900 block of McKinley Street around 10:30 Sunday morning. A woman inside the home was taken to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation, and the home suffered heat and water damage as a result. Authorities say the cause of the fire appeared to be careless smoking.
