OBITUARIES

Bones (Millard) Milligan

Bones (Millard) Milligan, 80 of Alton, died at 6:12 P.M. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

He was born to the late Loren & Emma J. (Stilly) Milligan on September 11, 1936 in Pope County, Illinois.

Bones retired after 43 years as a machinist at Owens-Illinois Mold Shop and then continued his career as a diesel mechanic at Diesel Component & Rebuilders in Alton. Bones was also a member of Tri County Rod & Gun Club.

Survivors include 3 daughters; Sherry (Grizz) Simmons of Alton, Susan (Mike) Seefeldt of New Mexico, Samantha (Dale) Reese of Perry, MO., 1 son; Ron (Julie) Milligan of Florida, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Dan (Jonell) Milligan of AZ., Jim (Pam) Milligan of Northern Illinois

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother and sister in law; Marvin & Alma Milligan, 1 sister and brother in law; Eva Dean & Tommy Little.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday August 10, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.

A time of remembrance and meal will immediately follow the funeral service at the Alton Owls Club on Blair Avenue.

Burial will be private.

Memorials may be made to the Tri County Rod & Gun Club.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Perry, Missouri. Details to follow.
