Vincent P. Robeen

Vincent P. Robeen, 89, passed away at 10:25 pm Sunday September 10, 2017 at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab.

He was born on April 16, 1928 in Michael IL the son of Andrew & Margaret (Arnold) Robeen.

Vincent married Virginia R. (Godar) on November 9, 1950 at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin.

He was a member of St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin, served in the US Army, and then became a co-owner of Calhoun County Ford in Hardin for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Hardin, the American Legion in Hardin, the Farm Bureau in Hardin and loved turkey hunting and fishing.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Virginia Robeen of Hardin, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary A. & Carol Robeen of Hardin, and Kenny P. Robeen of Atlas; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Margaret & Rod Nolte of Alton; two sisters, Virginia Fielder of Godfrey, and Grace Poeling of St. Charles, MO; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Cecelia Hayn and five brothers, Harold, Louis, Mark, Bob and Curt Robeen.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Gress, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am Thursday September 14, 2017 at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin with Fr. Steve Pohlman celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Norbert’s Cemetery in Hardin.

Memorials may be made to St. Norbert’s School or family choice.
