Jim "DJ" Krueger, 66, passed at 10:22am on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Barnes - Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on April 7, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late George F. and Alma Krueger. His step - mother was: Rose Krueger. He married the former Carol L. Dorman on May 21, 1983, in East Alton and she survives. Other survivors include four daughters and a son in law: Tammy and Gary Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia, Deborah Borchardt of O'Fallon, Missouri, Kathleen of Arkansas, Ashley Krueger of Cottage Hills, two sons and daughters in law: Pat and Heather Butkovich of Bethalto, Jason and Christie Butkovich of St. Charles, Missouri, two grandchildren: Camille Harper of Alaska, Hannah Butkovich of Bethalto, and one sister and brother in law: Phyllis and Bob Brewer of Troy, Missouri.
He was formerly employed at Linde in Hartford formerly known as BOC Gases as a truck driver. He then went to work at Truck Transport in South Roxana. He loved golfing and bowling. He was of the Lutheran Faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with his wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
