Illinois Falls to Maryland in OT

Illinois rallied from 22 points down in the second half but lost in overtime, 92-91 to Maryland Sunday night at State Farm Center in Champaign. 


Maryland led 10-0 to start the game and had a 45-26 advantage at halftime.  But the game was tied at 75 at the end of regulation.  Maryland (7-3, 1-1) won the game despite committing 25 turnovers.  Illinois (6-3, 0-2) had 16 turnovers in the game and were outrebounded, 34-25. 


Illinois had 5 players in double figures -- Leron Black - 18, Mark Alstork - 17, Aaron Jordan - 15, Kipper Nichols - 11, Trent Frazier - 11. 


Maryland got a game-high 27 points from Anthony Cowan including the game-winning free throw with less than a second left in OT.
