Illinois Blows Big Lead, Falls to Iowa in OT

Illinois blew a 20-point 1st half lead and fell to Iowa last night (Thursday), 104-97 in overtime at State Farm Center in Champaign.

 

Illinois (10-8) 0-5, Big Ten Conference

Iowa (10-9) 1-5, Big Ten Conference

 

The Fighting Illini led 49-29 with four minutes to go in the 1st half.  The halftime score favored Illinois, 54-41.  Freshman Trent Frazier tied the game with a 3-pointer at the buzzer to end regulation with the score tied, 90-90.  Iowa outscored the Illini, 14-7 in OT.
