Justin Dunning capped off a 4-4 night with a walk off RBI single in the 10th inning to give the Gateway Grizzlies a 4-3 victory over the Florence Freedom Saturday night at GCS Ballpark. The win puts Gateway in 3rd place in the West, 4.5 games behind Shaumburg.
The Grizzlies are off today, they will return to action on Monday night when they take on the Slammers in Joliet.
The River City Rascals have fallen into fourth place in the Western Division after suffering a 11-2 beating from the Lake Erie Crushers on Saturday Night. Crushers outfielder Daniel Bowman hit the first home run of his career, a grand slam in the third-inning, to put the Crushers on top for good.
River City will look to salvage a game in the series tonight at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon. The first pitch set for 6:05.
