The boys golf season teed off Monday at Belk Park Golf Course in Wood River. The Hickory Stick Classic Tournament – was won by the Greenville Comets with a team score of 319. Marquette finished seven shots back at 326. (C.M. was third on the day)
The individual medalist/champion on Monday was Vandalia’s Blake Swofford who fired a three under par 69…..one stroke better than C.M.’s Dustin Duncan who came in at a two under – 70 on the day.
Marquette’s Brian Gebben was third with a par-72.
EA/WR was led by Marc Sobol who shot a 76. Roxana’s best score was also a 76 from Zach Moore.
