Adam Wainwright tossed a five-hitter as the Cardinals shutout the Astros, 7-0 in the opener of a three-game series Tuesday night at Busch Stadium. Wainwright tied a career high with 12 strikeouts while throwing 105 pitches for his 4th career shutout. Yadier Molina led the offense with three hits and two runs batted in. Houston starter Lucas Harrell suffered the loss falling to 10-9.
