The Alton Redbirds shot past the Southwestern Piasa Birds in prep volleyball Monday night. The Redbirds won the match 2-games to none (25-16, 25-15). Emily Russell led AHS with 10 kills – Trevyn Landes and Grace Monroe added 7 kills each for the Lady Redbirds. Tara Wallace had 6 kills for Southwestern as they dropped to 2-and-11 on the year.
Alton takes a 13-and-4 record into tonight’s Southwestern Conference home match against Collinsville.
